T-shirt Rug - Tutorial - Round

main.jpg

Experience Level: Moderate – know how to work in rounds – please read entire tutorial before beginning.

Tools

Q - 19 crochet hooks

Scissors

Abbreviations

ch – chain

dc – double crochet

st - stitch

sl st – slip stitch

FO – fasten off

NOTES - ch 3 counts as first dc

  • I started out with 12 d, If you would like more rounds start with 6 and work your increases from there.

  • I used my yarn until it ended. If you would like even rounds change color every time you start a new row. - when you get to Rows 4 and above you will need more than 1 ball of the same color. I show how to change color at the end of this tutorial in my next tutorial, which gives you 2 options.

  • If you would like your rounds to be closer together and less gap in between, ch 3 and turn. I do this with my hat patterns; it gives it less gap in between. Be careful and make sure you are counting your chains, when you turn it is easy to lose track and mess up the rounds.

Tutorial

Make magic Ring- dc 12 times into ring/circle or if you prefer - ch 3 and work 12 dc in first ch.
